John W. Berry (Canada) is a Professor, psychologist and internationally recognized specialist in cross – cultural psychology, intercultural relations and multiculturalism. John Barry is the author of many scientific works with a high index of scientific citation, co-author of the bestseller "Cross-cultural psychology: research and applications" (translated into Russian, Kharkiv, 2007), a member of the editorial Board of many scientific journals.

Lecture 1 "Intercultural psychology" will be devoted to the consideration of two phenomena – interethnic
relations and acculturations, the understanding of which contributes to the successful existence of members
communities'.
Lecture 2 "Acculturation" will focus on the process of cultural and psychological changes that
arise in culturally diverse societies where immigrants and different ethno-cultural groups
interact with indigenous people .

Lecture 3 "Acculturation and adaptation" will focus on the forms of adaptation to the process
acculturation-psychological, socio-cultural and intercultural and acculturation strategies.
Lecture 4 "Intercultural relations and multiculturalism" will consider many ways in which
can organize their relationships groups and individuals with different cultural backgrounds,
who intend to live together.
The lectures will be held in English with simultaneous translation.
